'It was a great experience. Not only was it a great day for golf but a great day for reflection. Its amazing how a game like golf can compare to your everyday routine.
The internal dialogue that can cloud and hinder our performance is the same noise we hear in our day to day routine.
By simply letting go and being can improve even the simplest of tasks. Thank you for the eye opening experience and I hope to utilise what I learnt today in my future goals.'
'I had a great session with Gino at Harleyford Golf Club earlier today and am extremely delighted with the result. My takeaway is as follows:
In golf, as it is in our daily life, the decisions we make are a reflection of our state of mind in that moment.
Gino's advice on how to approach the game/life truly resonated with me and I am positive that if applied properly, it can deliver great results.
If like me you feel this can help you, book a session with Gino.'
'So what can I say. I had a session with Gino and he opened my eyes to how I should approach my golf game. It was amazing and now I'm applying what I've learnt to my new rounds and in life.
I can't thank Gino enough for this session and I believe it will help me and my game.
Thank you for an awesome time and look forward to our next session.'
'Practically a golf newbie, I came away from the session with tonnes of confidence and a solid awareness of where I could focus and make adjustments, whilst at the same time using awareness to relax and play!
In the space of just one session, everything improved on so many levels.'
'The session really helped me a lot with pinpointing my weaknesses when it comes to my confidence.
Thank you for spending that time with me because it's not something which I could identify by myself. Towards the end of the session, I noticed a huge difference with my confidence and communication. Now I know where to focus my attention and energy on to make myself better.
Thank you.'
'Today, I had the chance to do a range session with Gino. Gino and myself have been playing together regularly for a few months in a casual club format "just a fun round". The range session Gino the chance to look in depth at what my body language was saying regarding my head space while taking a shot, or even, as soon as I approached the ball. Gino the used Golf as a very clever and fitting analogy to everyday life by highlighting how one change or thought can completely alter the outcome of any given situation, even if the change may seem inconsequential, it very often wasn't.
After just 30 minutes into the session, I had managed to completely reassess my thought process and consequently the outcome of a given situation. Today it was as simple as clearing my mind of any contradicting thoughts or overthinking. I think the phrase from the Last Samurai fits it perfectly, "too many mind".
By the end of the session, my bogey club, which is my hybrid, ended up being an effortless shot with very consistent results and a fairly impressive yardage as well. As much as most of what I learnt today was applied to my golf, this will transfer into every other aspect of life by just simply applying the knowledge and process that Gino put across in a very clever and easy-to-understand way, as well as putting it into practice.
After the session, I was in a much clearer space mentally, both to do with my golf game and where I'm going with the direction of my business, and how to approach the issues that cause stress and tension within a brand design and launch.'
'Today I had the opportunity to play Golf with Gino, and the experience was eye-opening. Gino used Golf not just as a sport, but as an analogy for personal growth and mindset development. Throughout the session, the focus was on awareness of the traits that often hinder our progression in various aspects of life. The coach encouraged us to shift our mindset by envisioning ourselves as already achieving our goals. For instance, the idea of thinking, 'I am a scratch golfer,' even if you are currently an 18 handicap, was a powerful reminder that success starts with how we view ourselves.
This approach made me realise how our mindset shapes our outcomes, not just in Golf, but in life. It's easy to get caught up in doubts or setbacks, but adopting the mindset of success, acting as if you've already achieved what you want - creates a foundation for consistent growth. The challenge, however, lies in remembering to apply this mindset during moments of difficulty. While its easy to understand the theory, the real work comes in practising and implementing it constantly.
Ultimately, the session was a valuable reminder that performance development is about more than just skill-building; it's about transforming your mental approach and building habits that align with your desired outcomes. If you can embody the person you aspire to be, success in any area of life - whether it's Golf, career, or personal goals - becomes much more attainable. Really enjoyed our taster session and look forward to learning more about myself.'
Today was about understanding the new meaning to the game of Golf. This wasn't just about swings and putts - It was about unlocking my inner self while playing.
You allowed us to play how we played on the front 9, and then implemented your strategies on the back 9. Our conversation flowed seamlessly between golf strategies and deeper reflections on mindset, emotions, and personal growth. Beyond the game, something even more personal - my journey in developing my music career. It was brilliant to see how these principles of peak performance in sports also apply to creativity, discipline, and self-expression in music.
What stood out most was how you used the game as a metaphor. Every shot became an opportunity to explore my reactions, thought processes, and ultimately, my deeper self. We discussed overcoming self doubt, staying present, and trusting my instincts - whether on the course or in my music.
By the end of the round, I felt not only more in tune with my game but also with my artist path. I shot 59 on the front and 46 on the back! If that isn't a lesson learnt, I don't know what is.'
